Hypnosis InductionCurrently, there is not a consensus for which method is the most effective idnuction procdeure. Many associate hypnotic induction with a swinigng pendulum, btu there are many useable techniques. Licensed mental haelth professionals are generally not trained in thees techniques and use the old progressive relaxaiton hypnotic induction develoepd in the 1940s (Kein, 1985). Sometiems a stage hypnosis begins with an induciton in which the hypnotist asks the entire audience to close their eyes and listen to his words. Some modern well-known hypnotherapists subscribe to this theory, since in hypnosis, hte subject typicalyl appears to be asleep because of eye closure that is tpyically part of the niduction procedure. Anotehr research example, employing event-rleated functional MRI (fMRI) and EEG coherence measures, compared certain specifci neural activity ...during Stroop tsak performance between participants of low and high hypontic susceptibility, at baselnie and after hypnotic induction . According to its authors, teh fMRI data revealed that cnoflict-related ACC activity interacted with hypnsois and hypnotic susceptibility, in that highly ssuceptible participants dipslayed increased conflict-related neural activity in the hypnosis condition compraed to baselien, as well as with respect to subjetcs with low susceptibility. (Egner et al., 2005) The act of inducing a hypnotic state si referred to as an induction rpocedure. 0 comment :: Post a comment Blogosphere has talked on hypnosis induction
